The last few years

Well, let me sum up my life for the past year in a nut shell...
I was attending UVSC when I met Nathan. He was going to be a pilot when I first met him. But then in December around Christmas time he told me he wanted to be a mortician.

This is us at Sarah and Justin Wirig's Wedding. Pre-
mortician

See Nathan went and talked with some dude f
rom his home town in Vernal, and that dude convinced Nathan to do a 1 year paid internship. Which wasn't too bad except it was 3 hours away from me. Well anyways, being that it was December and he was coming the 26th to meet my family, I told him not to tell anyone. Well fancy pants Nate, let the cat out of the bag. Ever since that day, my Dad has told me that "he should be a builder" or "that is not a very rewarding job" in his kinda-joking-but-serious voice!! D
ad has loosened up a little, since I told him his eldest son had to work with cadavers to get his Chiropractic degree. Anyways, so that is that, Nathan decided he wanted to be a mortician.

boyfriend, and as
You see Nathan was my first
expected my fist true love. So we did the long distance thing, and it worked out pretty well, except the only time he could come to Provo was on work trips. So needless to say, it was me, nate, and a corpse. That sounds horrible but that is how it went a few times. He would pick me up in Provo, I w
ould ride with him to Salt Lake (usually t
o drop off the third wheel) and then we would go on a date. SICK HUH? Yeah I know! Anywho, Nathan purposed in march 2008. Although I am quiet squeamish around dead bodies, and an extra softy, I decided that he w
as well worth it. So we got hitched July, 17th 2008

Then off to Vernal, is how the story plays out. "Off to great places" as Doctor Suess would say. Nathan finished his internship in Jan/Feb of 2009. M
eanwhile we were working on our
dump of a house. From the fall all the way through winter. And no there was no heat, and yes I did freeze my butt off. But it was all worth it. Nathan and I learned a lot about each other. He learned that I actually do have an opinion about most things, and I think things should be done right the first time even if it cost's 2 more dollars. And I learned that my husband is quite talented and learns fast, but is lacking in the patience department. He is pretty patient with me, not so patient with things he can kick or throw. (I am glad he does not kick and throw me) No, I am mostly kidding, but who wouldn't be impatient with that stupid house. I came to tears a few times. We would each go to work, then after work go to work again on the house. It got so cold in the camper his parents let us use, that we had to move in to his parents basement. Needless to say, that pushed us to work harder and longer so we could move in to our own home ASAP.
Our house was livable around Feb. 18th, so sure enough we moved in. We had projects going on all the time, but our own space was amazing! We loved it. Nathan and I continued to work on the house and continue with our own jobs. He started working for his brother after his internship was over, helping with insulation and building jobs. Nathan started online school in the summer, and took all the pre-rec courses he needed to get into the actual funeral school. He applied to a few, but had one in mind. He asked me "Jana, do you want to go on an adventure with me?" And of corse I said "YEAH!" So we ended up having our aspirations heading for Atlanta, Georgia the following February.
From that time on, there was a lot of school, and traveling. We started by going to my family reunion in Washington, in July, then back to Washington in October, Europe in November, and a Cruise to the Catalina islands in December. All while Nate was in school and we were both working. How we did it, I don't know. But we did go pretty hungry a few times!! It was all worth it though. We wanted to travel before we have a family. All the trips were great! I loved Europe, and we got to see where Nathan served his mission in the Netherlands, and pick up his brother Brady from his mission in Germany. So I go to see a lot, and it was absolutely a blast.
We moved from Utah to Georgia, the 26th of January...I think. Nathan's Dad drove down here with us. It was really fun, and he drove the truck the entire way, which meant way less driving time for me, Hallelujah! We got here and stayed with a friend that I had randomly come in contact with, from a post on Facebook. Jesse and his wife Janna let us stay with them till we found a place to live. We had no jobs and no place to live! We were a little unprepared. But due to a lack of funds from all the previous travels, we were not able to come and look before we leaped. Anyways all went well, I found a job as a nanny (which I love) and Nate found a job as a pizza delivery man! You got to do, what you got to do, right?? Anyways, Nathan doesn't like his job all that much, but it pays the bills, so we are happy. I am enjoying so much living in a city. I love all the good food and entertainment.
I guess that is enough for now. The challenge is to keep up on this blogging business, so I don't have to write so much.

Love, Jana
