I wish I had a picture to go with my post, but I don't even have my computer with all my pictures on it.
Nathan Graduated last Friday the 25th of February, we packed up our house, and now he is currently driving through Denver with all of our stuff, including my computer. I am staying in Georgia for 6 more weeks to continue to nanny, while Nathan gets situated in Vernal. We still have our house in Vernal, so I have had to keep working, so we can pay the bills.
Anyway, I don't know if any of my fellow blog readers have experienced having your husband go away for a while, but I am on day 2 of 42, and it sucks!! It is one thing if you are vacationing with your family without him, but I am in Georgia and he is on his way to Utah. I think they say "distance makes the heart grow fonder," because when there is distance for a short time, you'll end up have a deeper appreciation for the simple joys of having each other. Just small things that we take for granted, like waking up to a kiss, or snuggling at night, a hug when you're upset, laughing, or just being in the same room but not saying a word. Or silly things like he is always there when you run out of toilet paper, or when you forget your towel when you go to take a shower, or when they tickle the heck out of you! What about annoying things like his stupid socks and underwear on the floor, or how every time he shaves there is hair all over the sink. That stuff I don't miss yet, and probably never will, but when I get back home, I'll feel like I am right where I belong when I see the underwear on the floor and the hair shavings on the sink.
Along with that saying "distance makes the heart grow fonder," there is also another one that says "home is where the heart is." And although I am not really excited at all to move to Vernal Utah, that is where my heart is, because that is where he is, and I never want to leave his side.
