The Tales of Nathan and Jana

Life, mortician's wife, homesick!

Just Me and Nathan doing what we are good at! Being GOOF Balls! It never gets old! We make up songs, and games, and have our own mini dance parties. Ohh and our favorite thing to do is watch the people in the pool and make up the conversations that people are having. Or we make up their thoughts about what is going on around them. It's pretty funny! We have nick named all the pool regulars!
I think I sat on him and tied that ribbon on his head, then made him take pictures with me! What a good guy!

Blaaa! That is life right now! I am not writing this to make you bad for me, in fact no one should feel bad for me because I have an awesome life and I am blessed with a lot. But on the other hand life right now is kinda confusing to me...
The first thing that is making me feel blaa about life is that I haven't seen so many of my family and friends forever. I miss home, I miss my family, I miss knowing people at the grocery store. I had a nephew born yesterday and I of course wasn't there. I miss being around and seeing the milestones of my cute little nephews and nieces. My broken heart could be healed if I just had hope that my husband would get done with school and get a job and move me back to Washington, but that is out of the question. Which bugs me and yet still doesn't bug me because why??? Because I am a girl, and things bug me one second, and go right over my head the next! AND NO I AM NOT PREGNANT! haha (But I might tell you that I am pregnant so I can get to the front of the line at a potluck! Then I'll take it right back!!) Anyways, about the family situation, I don't want to be next door to my family, but a quick flight would sure be nice. But if I live in Vernal it is 3 hours to the airport! YUCK! So what really is buggin me I guess, is that I had a picture perfect life set up for myself. I was going to live close to family, be rich, have a sweet house, cute kids, always be a hott mama, and have the husband of my dreams. 1 down 6 to go! I have a really sweet house!! haha Just kiddin! What I meant to say is, that I have the husband of my dreams. Which is true, very true! But here is the big issue of my life. Especially today. My husband had to ditch me to go fulfill an embalming credit for school. You know what that means right?! (I want you all to know that I have upmost respect and humility for the deceased and their family) But that being noted, death and everything with it is hard and never easy for me to deal with. From the sad story, to the grieving family, to the blood and the actual dead human! When Nate came home, he tried to kiss me! DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT IS LIKE!!!?? No you don't, because your husband is probably doing something normal! It's is so weird, but only because I can't stop my crazy imagination that is leading me to believe that he is covered in gross fluid or something. OKAY JANA THAT IS SICK! Right? But it is so hard. I even lose my appetite a little. But that is going to be life for me shortly. I could possible live at a mortuary. I am scared of what my life has in store for me. I will never get away from death. When I have friends, family, visiting teachers, home teachers, or anyone in world over to our house, what do they want to know about??? All the sick stuff that Nathan has to deal with. All the crazy families, embalming, blood an'guts, and so forth and so on! Not that it bugs me in the moment, I am just worried about 10 years down the road, when all I want in the world is a normal dinner conversation, I am going to internally cobust or something horrible. Because I just don't realy want to talk about dead people 24/7. If I went to dinner at friends house I would ask about their husbands work and all that, but it just so happens that my husbands job is CRAZY, it pulls on a lot of heart strings and is not the most pleasant dinner conversation.
Anyways Mr. Peterson took a shower, and now I am okay with sitting by him! So I better let this complaining session go, and get back to hanging with my main slice.
I am so excited for my new life, but life right now is dealing with all the changes that I have recently put myself through... i.e moving to Atlanta, sooo far away from everything I know. And trying to mentally prepare myself for all the many changes that will occur when Nathan is a licensed Funeral Director... i.e living with dead people, car rides with caskets, moving all the way back to UTAH! Just to name a few! GOOD luck to the morticians wife!! hahaha ohhh noooo!! HAHA :) :) :) Just keep smiling and say your prayers! Right? RIGHT!!!
I LOVE LIFE! AND ALLLLL OF IT"S SURPRISES!

I sure hope this makes sense. I am going to get get some frozen custard instead of editing this.

I have like 1 million pictures from my wedding that I am still trying to organize and scrapbook. It will be the death of me to finish it. I always say to people that when I am rich I am going to... something something. I figure if I say "when I am rich," and not "if I am ever rich." then maybe I might just be rich one day. Optimism!! Wouldn't that be awesome, to finally have some mulla. haha Anyways, my "when I am rich" thought today is, that when I am rich I am going to pay some incredibly crafty person to scrapbook my photos for me. That way it won't take 2 years to get done.

But every time I look through these darn photos, I remember how fun it was. Ohh and stressful too.

Nathan's Family arrived as the Atlanta Airport on July 27th at like 7:00 in the morning.
We hiked Stone Mountain first thing. It was really hot, but worth it when we all got up there. It is so beautiful.

That night we attended the Stone Mountain Lazer show. It was great.
Nathan and I at the Atlanta Aquarium

Everyone in the Peterson Party. Except me cause I took the picture.
That is 7 of Nathan's 11 Brothers and Sisters.
The Atlanta Temple is being renovated, so we have to drive to Birmingham Alabama to go to one. Here we are.....I can't figure out how to flip these darn pictures.

This is after shopping. Nathan and I finally got Braves Hats!!! Waahoo
CHURCH
Tailgating before the Braves Game.
TURNER FIELD
This is Braves game #2 of the trip. If you can believe it, I was dancing crazy in the stands to get on the Huge TV. AND I MADE IT! I made the cut, I got on the screen. But what made me so mad was that Nathan had just left to go get some food, and he missed it and didn't believe me. But being that I had 10 other witnesses, I think we convinced him.
Sleeping conditions. They were a little cramped in my one bedroom apartment. But we had fun.
4 air Mattresses, 1 Hammock, 2 people on the floor, and 1 bed= Hard to get to work on monday, tuesday, and wednesday.
and also = good stories and grumpy kids
Overall it was a really fun trip. We saw a lot, and had a lot of fun. It was good to share our new little adventure with family. Being that it is going by so quick, I doubt that a lot of people will even be able to come and visit. But we are having so much fun here. We love our families so much, but it is sure nice to have some space for a bit. Be on our own agenda!

Well I better get going.... or in Southern Drawl... I better start fixin to get off this durn computer. My dadgum fingers are givin me all sorts a trouble. See ya'll later

A week worth of adventure

It was my birthday on July 2nd, so Nathan and I decided to take a road trip. My boss was gracious enough to give me time off, and Nathan had a break in school. And at this time in our life, time together has been few and far between.

The fun all started on the 1st of July because my boss took me out to this delicious dinner. They treated to me to one of the best meals I have ever eaten. (I am starting to salivate.) At dinner, they handed me a card. Inside the card was all these cute little things that the little girls I nanny wrote. Like “Happy B-day Jana! Funk this party out!” and “Your party is know!” I think she meant “now!” Haha. Anyways it was cute. Inside the card they gave me a gift card to the iTunes store. Then a couple minutes after they handed me a smallish box. Inside was a i-touch!! WOOOHOOO I almost started crying I was so excited. Then they proceeded to tell me a bunch of really nice things, and it just warmed my heart!!

That night I went home and Nathan had got of work a little early. When I walked through the door, he greeted me with and ice-cream cake! MY FAVORITE! So we dug into that, packed, slept, and then we were ready for morning. I really wanted to go country dancing in Nashville, so that was the plan. When we arrived in Nashville we went to the hotel and then headed off to downtown. It was so cool there and I couldn’t believe how many musicians were there. Every bar we passed, and there are a lot, had a band or a single singer in there entertaining. We heard this really loud music playing by the river, so we went to check it out. It actually happened to be Chuck Wicks preparing for a concert. (He is the guy that sings “Steeling Cinderella.”) So low and behold there is a free concert that night honoring my birthday!! Haha J/k Actually honoring a boats 25th birthday, if you could believe! So instead of country dancing we went to that, but I made Nathan promise to take me on the way home.

So off the Columbia, Missouri we went. That is where my cousin Kera lives. It was so good to see family, and to be with them on the 4th of July. The 4th was a lot of fun. All of her 5 kids just loved the fireworks. We went to see a neighboring neighborhood’s firework show. I thought it was going to be kinda lame, but it was one of the best I have ever seen. The must have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on it.

Monday morning we woke up early and left for Nauvoo, Illinois. We got there at about 11 so had a whole day to cram stuff in. We started at the visitor center, then had a wagon tour. Then we toured all around all of the houses of the LDS Pioneers. I learned that a lot of saying we have today come from the print shops. Such as being called a “ding bat” or the phrase “mind your P’s and Q’s.” The p’s and q’s one is because the had to enter the letters in one by one, and if they didn’t do it right p’s and q’s could quickly turn into b’s and d’s!

I loved Nauvoo, and I plan on returning there again one day. I have never quite understood the hard work that the Latter Day Saints put into this land when they moved from Kirtland. The town went from tiny, to huge in less than 6 years. It went from a marsh to a fertile and beautiful piece of land. And all the work was done with faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ. The reason why the knowledge of how hard they worked affected me so much, is because without understanding there efforts, it is hard to understand how big of a sacrifice it was for them to pack up and leave everything they had worked so hard for. There is a trail on Parley’s street that represents where the Latter Day Saints lined up their wagon’s, waiting to cross the Mississippi River. We took a walk down that trail and I started to really feel for the pioneers. They were so righteous, and so willing to do what the Lord asked them to do. They literally left behind 6 years of hard work, which included an beautiful hand crafted temple, homes, farms, animals, businesses, and precious belongings. Most of them never sold their homes. They literally left them to people who had been hateful, and who killed their friend and Prophet. When they patiently waited to cross the river, they looked back upon this great thriving city that they had build, and I am sure with tears in their eyes, gazed upon the most beautiful temple, and said goodbye.

If that was not enough for me to think about, I thought of how they new how risky this was, and how they and their children might die in the effort, but the pressed forward anyways. And the most impressive part, is that very few times did anyone ever complain. How amazing is that. I have so many luxuries, yet I still find time to complain. This gave me a new outlook on life.

So after that extremely amazing day, we decided that it was better to sleep in our car rather then to pay 80 buck-a-roo’s for a hotel. So we did!! That is another long yet hilarious story, but if you ask nice I will tell you all about it. (I am just getting sick of typing today.) Then we took a tour with the reorganized Mormon Church, or actually now they are known as the Living Christ Church. They own Joseoh Smith’s house and a few others that we wanted to see. It was so frustrating to hear some of the crazy stuff that the tour guide had to say. WEIRD!! But it was great to see. Then off to Carthage Jail, where the Prophet Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum were killed. Once again incredibly spiritual.

After all of this we went back to Kera and Dan’s house and stayed one more night. Then back home we went. But I never did go country dancing! Nathan promised me another time though. Maybe even in Nashville! Over all it was one of the best vacations I have been on. It is crazy how you can go on vacations and they are usually always awesome, but there is something about going just you and you best buddy/ husband that makes is way more enjoyable.

Okay so I will tell you the funny story about us camping in Nauvoo…

So, we decided to sleep in the car instead of paying for a dumpy hotel. So I got everything situated and folded my seats down and tried to get comfortable. (did I ever mention my new car, it is a hatch back, so not toooooo bad for camping but still way small especially for Nathan.) We had one blanket, one pillow, and one roll of toilet paper. We also had some camping chairs and a cooler that we had to put outside because there was no room for them in the car. I gave nate my pillow and I kept the blanket. I filled a shirt full of dirty clothes and used that for a pillow…I was set.

Our night was rather long, because we were so uncomfortable and about every hour we had to start the car and turn on the air conditioning. Anyways, Nathan can’t sleep, and finally it is like 5 in the morning and he just decided that he was going to go find a laundry mat, and wash his clothes. Not that he didn’t have clothes to wear, but he had a outfit in mind for this hot hot hot weather. So we go to the laundry mat! (keep in mind that I am sleeping in the trunk curled up in a little ball and I have no idea what is going on.) I remember him asking if I had change, and I said no. Apparenty we only had a 20 dollar bill so that kinda frustrated Nathan. So what does he do?? He turns the 20 bucks into quarters. He gets everything washed and dryed and then we head back to the camp site. I asked nate if he remembered the cooler and camp chairs, and unfortunately he didn’t. So we head up to our camp site to pick them up and then we were going to be on our way. Well, right when we get up there, the camp ranger parks right behind us and boxes us in. He gets out and comes to talk to us. He asked us if we had stayed there and if we had a parking permit? Yes and no we responded. Then he proceeded to charge us 20 bucks for the camping site we parked on. Of coarse we were upset and we argued a little.

We said “dude we slept in a car, we could have parked anywhere and not got charged.

So the dude says to us “sorry, I can’t make exceptions for anyone. If you would have parked down the hill a little you would have only been charged 10 dollars, but you are in an electrical camp site.”

By this time we knew he had his panties in a bunch, but we still asked “Just cut us a deal, we came in at like midnight and it was pouring down rain and we couldn’t see anything, and besides that, you can tell, that we didn’t even use any electricity and there are like 40 more campsites open, so it is not like we took someone’s spot.”

So he proceeds to tell us no no no, and I told nate just to pay so we could get on our way.

So we are both kind of frustrated that we got horrible sleep and ad to pay 20 bucks for it. While right next door these guys are sleeping like kings in there million dollar motor homes. For some dumb reason we thought that the church owned it, and it might be cheap. Our mistake! haha

We don’t have towels, so we each took showers and dried off with our clothes we wore to bed! Nate put his new clean outfit on, and I felt refreshed from my nice shower. So already we are having quite the morning, and trying to not to be too grouchy. The very next thing I did, is ask nate to take the food out of the cooler and throw it away, it was no good. So what happens next… Nathan walks to throw away the food and slips on this muddy slime stuff that cover the cement in Nauvoo. At the time I was eating my breakfast of champions of a Snikers bar and a banana, and started laughing to hard I started seriously choking and almost died. What had happened is that when he fell his whole side got covered in this muddy slimy mess on his new clean clothes. So that was about it, Nathan by then was in a bad mood. He told me that he was just going back to the laundry mat and he was going to throw his clothes in the dryer. And I argued with him and finally convinced him that he couldn’t put muddy clothes in a dryer because blab la bla. Not that this next thing is too bad, but because the whole morning and night before were crazy it was the cherry on top. He grabbed some new shorts to wear and the zipper broke off. Then I grabbed for the water in the back seat and spilled it all over his seat and his hat!!

The day turned out to be not too bad, but trying to be in a good mood after all of that way hard. I don’t know if I can really give the story justice writing so quickly, but it was the morning from H. E. Double hockey sticks! Haha

Hope you enjoyed!

I feel like an old woman!

Why do I feel like and old woman?? Because this bloggin crap is confusing the heck out of me, and I just can't figure it out!

So the other day, I try to edit my blog. I spent so much time writing it, but then I figured out how to add pictures. HEAVEN FORBID I ADD ANY OF THOSE DUMB THINGS!! The whole dad-gum thing got erased! So much for having cute pages with cute pictures! I just am an old women, incapable of learning anything about technology! Not to mention, I am horrible in the English department, so I get a little worried that all you smarties out there are editing my blogs as you read! I think being bad at spelling and grammar is hereditary!

Anyways, Nathan and I went to Florida last weekend, it was beautiful. The Brown family (they are who I work as a nanny for) let us stay in their beach house for the weekend. It was so great and relaxing. I don't have any pictures because my camera is broke and getting fixed, and my cell phone stinks at taking pictures. But if I did have a picture you would be jealous, because it was a beautiful weekend.
As we were headed home, we went through Alabama! Holly smokes!!! It is just like the movies. Like there are actually people that REDNECK! So I was about to pee my pants, so we stopped at a McDonalds! It was packed, like we are talking a good 100 people or more, and the play house was hoppin! Just listening to what the people were talking about and hearing their accents was hilarious. One lady said to her daughter, "Jesus wants you to eat all of your food!" Which was funn mostly because of her thick accent.
We didn't have much time to people watch, so we got back on the road. After about 10 Min down the road, we discover the car was just about on empty. We decided to keep pushing on. The road we were on was just a small back highway going through a million little towns. By what felt like a miracle we found a gas station. I went in to grab a snack, and to people watch again. There was a cop outside, because something bad was going on (i think it was a restraining order type of thing) and then the cashier had this adorable little black girl attached to her hip, while she rang up our stuff. When we went to pay, Nathan said "she's cute" to the lady. And you know what that lady said... in her southern accent? "Yeah... she is grandma's girl today..... she had to come with me to work.... her parents are fighting tonight."
First of all that is the saddest thing I have heard, and second, why did she tell us that. It was like a scene from a movie. I felt so bad for that beautiful little girl. You could just tell that there was something wrong. Like she doesn't get the attention she needs or something horrible had happened. I know that some kids are ultra clingy sometimes, but she would just start bawling if her grandma even tried to put her down! And she looked at me like she was scared of me. It was so sad. Needless to say, Alabama is one interesting place and Nathan almost had an adopted daughter. Nathan really said to me, he wished he could just adopt that little girl.
Other than that, I have just been having fun, fun, fun! I am taking a belly dancing class, which is really hard. I understand what they want me to do, and how they want me to stand, but making my body do it is really hard. The history behind belly dancing is interesting. We learned all about the history on our first day. It has a bad rap because it is associated with strippers, but it actually is actually a dance that is done for all people, at any event. In different countries grandmas, mothers, and girls will all do it together at any kind of family gathering. I have found it to be a really beautiful dance, and a fun workout.
Ohh and my next endeavor when my abs get stronger from belly dancing, I am going to sign up for a unlimited tumbling class that has open hours with a coach to teach you how to tumble! Watch out summer olympics 2012! I will be there in a pretty sweet leotard doing all sorts of tricks! (2012?? right?) I better start training soon! Haha Just kidding.

See ya'll later!

Funny Story

April 16th 2010
Maybe you can relate, or maybe I just run into some awfully weird people.
After a long day of work, I take the 30-45 minute journey home to my apartment. It is blazing hot, and I have no air conditioning. But I am happy because not only is it friday, but I have a new car waiting for me at home. Now that doesn't happen very often, getting a new car that is. I get home wipe the sweat off my brow, wash my new black beauty (becuase black shows everything,) and then off to the pool. Now wait wait wait, lets back up a little first.
You know how at every apartment there is always that one girl or woman, who is a WEIRDO, they always seem to be in their swimsuit in awkward places, and more often than not they are are the swimming pool junky. Well, if you haven't guessed we have one of those at our apartment complex. To all my Raintree friends... I know you know what I am talking about.
Nathan said he came home from work one day, in like early february and this woman was leaning against a mo ped that wasn't hers, dressed in nothing less than a bikini, high heels, and brightest bright red lip stick. Talk about cold. Another time Nathan and I were getting out of his truck and this strange woman was strutting her stuff down this hill, same bright lipstick, holding her purse in one hand and a small radio in the other. She was blaring some country! It was funny! Right away I knew it was the same mo ped lady Nate had told me about. I know I sound mean right now, but I am just tryig to give you the picture.
Alright, now that you are up to speed I can continue. So I go to the pool and brace myself as I am about to jump into this freezing pool. It is just barely getting warm here so the pool was, what you might call refreshing. Did I mention that the lady was at the pool! Chillin in the hot-tub with her radio. Anyways, I swim for probably 30 minutes, and in the mean time there was another lady that came with her two kids. She sat next to the hot tub and began chatting with the weird one. So I decide this will be harmless since there are two people already chatting, I thought to myself... I'll take a dip in the warm water to get rid of my chivers and away I will go. Well well well, fancy pants old me has to strike up a conversation. After all, she seemed very nice, and the lady with children was really nice too! But because the were both from different countries I had a hard time understanding them.
So the weird one we will call her Veronica because I forgot her name and that suits her, and the other is Yolanda, because that is actually her name. We get chatting about tons of stuff, and they were asking me all sorts of questions. Here is some of our conversation.
Where are you from? Washington, but I moved from Utah.
Are you Mormon? Yes
Do you practice polygamy? no!
You know the standards.
Well I ask here a lot of the same questions, but not the ones about being mormon. Be warned, she is a bit of an over-sharer.
What is your name? jaljfdf ohhh... Veronica okay
where are you from? Check Republic
Married? Yes, well no, I have been married twice and I am getting another divorce. The first on only lasted 5 months, so that was easy to do.
Kids? Yes one, a boy. Where is he? His father has custody
Anyways bla bla, I showed her where my apartment is. Which just so happens to be above the pool. And you know what she asked me??
Ohh how long have you lived here? I told her just a few months.
She said, oohhh wwweeeeeww, as if she was relieved. I guess my puzzled look made her explain why she was greatful that I just moved there. She told me that she used to come swim there naked all the time, but the manager left me a note saying she couldn't swim naked or have sex in the pool!
wwwwwwhhhhhhaaaaattttt??? It the sound that went through my mind, but the sound that came out was, just a polite giggle. THen she told me all about being bipolar, an all sorts or weird stuff.
This is the best part, well at least I think.
When I told here how old I was, she automatically said, oh my gosh so young. You are to young to be married, You should have experienced more in life. This happens to me all of the time, that people think that they should tell me that I have made a bad choice, right when I first meet them.
What I thought in my head was... why would I take advice from a 2 timed divorced lady who wears bright red lipstick and struts the her stuff up and down the street while jammin to weird music and poses next to other people's transportation in winter, waring a bikini. But what I really said was, ohh no we have lots of fun, and why would I want to experience life without my best friend. Then I told her all of the adventures we have had in the last year. Well that stumped here, but all she could do is smile and tell me how young I was.

I find it funny that the people who tell you about getting a married way too young, are the same people whose lives are in shambles! The last lady that told me this same thing is a swinger and is married, but lives with another man. I mean what exactly are they trying to say?? What can I not experience being married?? Not getting STD's?? I'll pass! I can take it from a friend or family member, but strangers that make you feel like that! OH NO YOU DIDN"T!! :) Anyways, give a hug and kiss to the guy that is in your life (if you have one) and be thankful to be experiencing life with your BFF! And if you are single, have fun experiencing life by yourself, in fact relish it, but look forward to the time that you will have with your sweetheart.

Sorry if I seem totally rude to Veronica, I will still be her friend, but I refuse to take her advice on life!
Ha Ha Good thing we have all sort of people in this world, it makes life more enjoyable.

The last few years

Well, let me sum up my life for the past year in a nut shell...
I was attending UVSC when I met Nathan. He was going to be a pilot when I first met him. But then in December around Christmas time he told me he wanted to be a mortician.

This is us at Sarah and Justin Wirig's Wedding. Pre-
mortician

See Nathan went and talked with some dude f
rom his home town in Vernal, and that dude convinced Nathan to do a 1 year paid internship. Which wasn't too bad except it was 3 hours away from me. Well anyways, being that it was December and he was coming the 26th to meet my family, I told him not to tell anyone. Well fancy pants Nate, let the cat out of the bag. Ever since that day, my Dad has told me that "he should be a builder" or "that is not a very rewarding job" in his kinda-joking-but-serious voice!! D
ad has loosened up a little, since I told him his eldest son had to work with cadavers to get his Chiropractic degree. Anyways, so that is that, Nathan decided he wanted to be a mortician.

boyfriend, and as
You see Nathan was my first
expected my fist true love. So we did the long distance thing, and it worked out pretty well, except the only time he could come to Provo was on work trips. So needless to say, it was me, nate, and a corpse. That sounds horrible but that is how it went a few times. He would pick me up in Provo, I w
ould ride with him to Salt Lake (usually t
o drop off the third wheel) and then we would go on a date. SICK HUH? Yeah I know! Anywho, Nathan purposed in march 2008. Although I am quiet squeamish around dead bodies, and an extra softy, I decided that he w
as well worth it. So we got hitched July, 17th 2008

Then off to Vernal, is how the story plays out. "Off to great places" as Doctor Suess would say. Nathan finished his internship in Jan/Feb of 2009. M
eanwhile we were working on our
dump of a house. From the fall all the way through winter. And no there was no heat, and yes I did freeze my butt off. But it was all worth it. Nathan and I learned a lot about each other. He learned that I actually do have an opinion about most things, and I think things should be done right the first time even if it cost's 2 more dollars. And I learned that my husband is quite talented and learns fast, but is lacking in the patience department. He is pretty patient with me, not so patient with things he can kick or throw. (I am glad he does not kick and throw me) No, I am mostly kidding, but who wouldn't be impatient with that stupid house. I came to tears a few times. We would each go to work, then after work go to work again on the house. It got so cold in the camper his parents let us use, that we had to move in to his parents basement. Needless to say, that pushed us to work harder and longer so we could move in to our own home ASAP.
Our house was livable around Feb. 18th, so sure enough we moved in. We had projects going on all the time, but our own space was amazing! We loved it. Nathan and I continued to work on the house and continue with our own jobs. He started working for his brother after his internship was over, helping with insulation and building jobs. Nathan started online school in the summer, and took all the pre-rec courses he needed to get into the actual funeral school. He applied to a few, but had one in mind. He asked me "Jana, do you want to go on an adventure with me?" And of corse I said "YEAH!" So we ended up having our aspirations heading for Atlanta, Georgia the following February.
From that time on, there was a lot of school, and traveling. We started by going to my family reunion in Washington, in July, then back to Washington in October, Europe in November, and a Cruise to the Catalina islands in December. All while Nate was in school and we were both working. How we did it, I don't know. But we did go pretty hungry a few times!! It was all worth it though. We wanted to travel before we have a family. All the trips were great! I loved Europe, and we got to see where Nathan served his mission in the Netherlands, and pick up his brother Brady from his mission in Germany. So I go to see a lot, and it was absolutely a blast.
We moved from Utah to Georgia, the 26th of January...I think. Nathan's Dad drove down here with us. It was really fun, and he drove the truck the entire way, which meant way less driving time for me, Hallelujah! We got here and stayed with a friend that I had randomly come in contact with, from a post on Facebook. Jesse and his wife Janna let us stay with them till we found a place to live. We had no jobs and no place to live! We were a little unprepared. But due to a lack of funds from all the previous travels, we were not able to come and look before we leaped. Anyways all went well, I found a job as a nanny (which I love) and Nate found a job as a pizza delivery man! You got to do, what you got to do, right?? Anyways, Nathan doesn't like his job all that much, but it pays the bills, so we are happy. I am enjoying so much living in a city. I love all the good food and entertainment.
I guess that is enough for now. The challenge is to keep up on this blogging business, so I don't have to write so much.

Love, Jana

WOW I have finally done it!! I have entered in to the wild world of Blogging! As if facebook doesn't waste enough of my time. But, I believe that it is time. I hope I can print these off, it is like a good journal. Any who-balations, here it goes, I will start more of this craziness later! And you better believe it will be crazy, because not only should I have not passed the fifth grade because my grammar is a mess, but I can't spell worth the dickens, and I sometimes leave out crucial things because I think the reader is in my head. Well good luck to me!
